What is Near & Found?

Near & Found is a local marketplace for discovering quality furniture and home décor from private sellers and local businesses—all in one place.

How do I buy an item?

When you find something you’re interested in, contact the seller directly through Near & Found. The buyer and seller arrange payment, pickup, or delivery between themselves.

Does Near & Found handle payments or delivery?

No. Near & Found helps buyers and sellers find and connect with each other. Payment, pickup, delivery, and other transaction details are arranged directly between the buyer and seller.

What if I can't find what I'm looking for?

Create a Wanted listing and describe what you're searching for, including details such as size, style, color, material, budget, and location. Local sellers and businesses can then see what you're looking for.

Who can sell on Near & Found?

Both individuals and approved local businesses can list quality furniture and home décor on Near & Found.

How do I list an item for sale?

Select Sell and add clear photos and details about your item, including its dimensions, condition, style, material, color, price, and pickup or delivery options.

Are listings reviewed before they are published?

Yes. New listings are reviewed before appearing on Near & Found to help keep the marketplace useful, trustworthy, and focused on quality furniture and décor. Please review our Listing Standards before submitting an item. How long does my listing stay active?

Listings remain active for up to 60 days. If your item is still available at the end of the listing period, it may be renewed or relisted.

How much does it cost to list an item?

During Near & Found's introductory launch period, eligible individual listings may be offered at no charge. After the introductory period, the current listing fee will apply. Any applicable fee will be shown before you submit your listing.

What happens after my item sells?

Close your listing promptly so buyers know the item is no longer available.

Can local furniture stores list inventory?

Yes. Local furniture, vintage, antique, consignment, and home décor businesses can create a business profile and list qualifying inventory, including new, pre-owned, and floor-model pieces.

Wanted Listings

What is a Wanted listing?

A Wanted listing lets you tell local sellers and businesses exactly what you're looking for when you don't see the right piece currently listed.

What information should I include?

Include as much information as you know, such as the type of furniture, preferred dimensions, style, material, color, maximum budget, and location.

Do I need to know the exact dimensions I want?

No. You can enter a range or leave dimensions open when you're flexible.

What happens after I post a Wanted listing?

What happens after I post a Wanted listing?

Your Wanted listing becomes visible in the marketplace so local sellers and businesses can see what you're searching for. If someone has a piece that may be a match, they can send you an inquiry directly through Near & Found.

Payments, Pickup & Safety

Does Near & Found process payments?

No. Near & Found provides the marketplace where buyers and sellers discover and connect with each other. Payment is arranged directly between the buyer and seller.

Who arranges pickup or delivery?

The buyer and seller arrange pickup or delivery directly. Listings may indicate whether local pickup, seller delivery, delivery for a fee, or shipping is available.

Does Near & Found inspect or guarantee listed items?

No. Near & Found does not take possession of or inspect listed items. Buyers should review photos, descriptions, dimensions, and condition information and ask the seller any questions before completing a purchase.

How can I shop and sell safely?

Communicate clearly before meeting or exchanging payment. Confirm the item, price, payment method, and pickup or delivery arrangements in advance. Use appropriate caution when meeting someone you don't know, and avoid sharing unnecessary personal or financial information.

What should I do if a listing seems suspicious or inaccurate?

Do not proceed with the transaction. Contact Near & Found if you have a concern about a listing or seller so it can be reviewed.
